2 Thoughts to “Open Mic Night.”

  1. Charles Oriel

    Hi–

I’m writing to inquire about the possibility of booking us to perform some music at Love at First Bite Cafe.

My wife Julia and I perform as an acoustic duo, “Chicken & Dumpling” (acoustic guitar and bass) that plays traditional blues (everything from Robert Johnson, Bessie Smith and Muddy Waters through Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, etc.), as well as some jazz, pop and folk (Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Shawn Colvin). We have a small PA system and can fit into a relatively small space. We’ve played in a number of restaurants, lounges and wine-tasting rooms throughout the Sacramento area for the past eight years. We charge very reasonable rates.

Our duo’s website is http://www.chickenanddumpling.net and if you click on “Music,” you can hear some samples that should give you a pretty good sense of what we sound like.

Please contact me, either by email or by phone (below), if you think you might be interested in booking us to perform. Thanks!

    best,
    Charles

Does appearing at open mic constitute an audition for other nights or is it a one-time shot? I have a professional, actively-playing duo looking for opportunities to perform covers and/or original music.
